Lanzarote
Lanzarote is the 4th largest of the Canary Islands. With very little rainfall and a steady average daily temperature of between 21 and 29 degrees you can easily see why Lanzarote is a popular holiday destination. See our
lanzarote weather
page for more information about what to expect weather wise when you visit this beautiful island.
Our website gives you information you will hopefully find useful if you are going on
holiday to Lanzarote or looking to buy a property there.
Trips and Excursions
Some of you will want to just lay around the pool but for those of you who want to see what Lanzarote has to offer
away from your hotel there are many trips that you can do. We found that the prices offered by our hotel were cheaper than the prices of our tour
operator so shop around before you book any excursion.
Timanfaya National Park
|
Visit the park to see around 100 volcanoes of which about 5 are semi-active. You will get to see
experiments showing you the heat produced by these volcanoes as well
as travelling round the
"lunar route" which
shows you and explains
about the history of the
volcanoes and the
island. We would
recommend going there on
an organised trip for
two main reasons in that
you get a guide who
explains the history in
really good detail, a
bit of comedy and also
some of the roads are
very narrow and steep. |

Teguise Market
Visit the old capital of Lanzarote and barter
till you drop! Make sure
you go there on a Sunday
though as the rest of
the week the town is
fairly quiet.
